Las Vegas is fricking hot. And i’m not just talking about the casinos and club scene here. It’s a city in the middle of the Mojave Desert where the temperature can easily reach 100+ degrees every single day for months and months on end. At some point between the eating, the drinking, and the dice throwing, you’re going to want to find some time to cool down and relax. Preferably poolside with your beverage of choice. All of the hotels have a pool, but here’s the best that offer a lot more than just a place to soak your head.
#10. Tropicana
One of the first of the older hotels to really pour a lot of money and attention into their pool, and for years it was considered one of the best pools in Vegas. The pool area at the Trop has with five pools and two hot tubs spread across 4 acres, a 16-foot waterfall and swim-up blackjack tables. It’s been around for years, but they’ve kept it current with updates and renovations.
#9. MGM Grand
MGM Grand is absolutely huge, and so of course the pool complex is too. A sprawling seven acres with five swimming pools, a shallow lounging area with low-lying chairs, and three whirlpools. The pool area also has a 1,000-foot-long lazy river, where you can hop on an inner tube and drift on the current under the hot desert sun.
#8. The Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget has been called a Strip style resort that just happens to be downtown. Guests are often surprised to find that the pool at the Golden Nugget has a 200,000-gallon saltwater tank housing sharks and other game fish. There’s even a waterslide that slips you straight through that tank in a transparent tunnel. The pool area is layered, and the third floor features The Hideout, with a two-story infinity pool.
#7. The Venetian
The pool at the Venetian has a little something for everybody. You can swim laps in a standard rectangular pool, chill out in a shallow lounging pool, or disappear to a small, secluded pool hidden away near Venezia Tower. For the partiers and day-drinkers there is a seasonal outdoor club, Tao Beach, which has its own pool and is open to guests 21 and over.
#6. Bellagio
Like everything else at Bellagio here you’ll find an upscale pool experience, and six pools flanked by pine and lemon trees. The scene here is a lot more laid back and refined than most other Vegas pools without the party and dayclub scene. A great atmosphere for sipping on a Bellagio Mojito, made with fresh blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and mint, while taking in the faux-Italian architecture and landscaping.
